How does the moonroof open?

Does the moon roof pop up and then slide or does it slide between the headliner and roof when open? I would prefer it to slide between the headliner and roof. I don't like ones that pop up because of wind noise. If somebody had pictures of the moon roof open that would be even better.

It pops up and opens outside of the car. I agree, I like them to be between the roof and headliner also.

the ones that go outside the car do so to give you more interior headroom....the ones that have to slide between the headliner have lower roofs...as small as the roof is in this car already, probably better the way they did it.
I saw a photo with one open and wasn't quite too sure if it was just tilted. But, it stuck up more than just being tilted. That is something to think about. The deflector doesn't seem to be that big then. How is the wind noise when it is open?
Noise from the moon roof fully open is actually less than my G35 sedan had when fully open (and that one went between the headliner). I don't mind this style, but did notice it doesn't open as far as one that would go between the headliner (if that makes sense)? The angle of the glass seems pretty aerodynamic when up.
Yeah, noise isn't too bad but Jimmy is right, it doesn't open as far as I expected.
I had a Prius IV with the solar package. It had the glass wind deflector that would tilt up in the front before the moon roof. It wind noise wasn't too bad since it had the glass deflector. I'll have to take one out and check it out. It's true the ones that pop up don't open as far as ones that slide underneath.
