Hi
I made a test on a small USB key, 3 folders: piano jazz, piano classic, road music. i have just a few albums in each category. But when I try to play them the thee main folders have disapeared and all the music seems ramdom.
Any idea on how to fix it?
Thanks

it is my understanding that the files are played by date/time. In other words, the order that you copy the music files to the USB device is the order they will play on your CT.

Not what I want, but that's the way it is. (lazy programming by Lexus, IMHO)

Anyone else have any different experience?

I have a USB device with Artist Folders, and it seems to work fine. The folders are individual and each song from that folder can be played. As I move to the next folder/artist the folder name changes and each song can be played. Seemed to be in Alphabetical order in the folder, but I need to research more. I will try to do a video showing some details of this, but only have one day more before I travel a week or so.. not sure I can do it tomorrow. I have a non-nav CT...

I have the Nav version and can confirm that the Albums are listed in the time-stamp order that I copied them to the USB key. Within each album (folder) the songs are listed in alphabetical order. When I rip my albums I do so such that the titles start with the track number i.e "01 Song one", "02 Song two", etc. Once I figured out that the albums would list with the time-stamp I made a point to copy them to the USB drive in the order I wanted them to show up - slow process but hopefully I'll only have to do it once :)

Didier.. Try checking your Random button (#1) and see if it might have been long pressed (until a beep). If it was, it will play all the music in random order regardless of folders.

I also verified for the Non-Nav version that the music and folders are played and arranged in time-stamp order. Mine happened to be mostly in alphabetical order.

I have uploaded a video showing some details to youtube... Click my videos link below to see it.
