I have no idea what you are up to, but I am anxious to see. Because you have shown yourself to be a skilled person with a great imagination. Keep us posted please.
thanks Joe. I'm hoping that I can do this "project" this weekend. If not I have to wait a couple weeks, going to Dallas next weekend.

So this weekend was a success...got the air compressor fixed and work was completed on the car. So what was done? Let me show you:

The begining...like many ct's having the light interior headliner and pillars:

So out comes the major plastic pieces:

B pillars C pillars are removed and broken down to be plastic dipped black. The reason i used plastic dip is twofold; 1) I can remove it without much work and 2) the dry time is so much quicker.

Once the rest of the ceiling parts are removed (lights, visors, oh sh*t handles) out comes the headliner. Once removed i treated the roof with some sound deadener:

With the headliner out the transformation begins:

I'm wrapping the headliner in black comfort suede that my company sells in their Install Bay line (CS-ONYX-3 is the part number).

The A-pillars get the same treatment:

And so does the sunroof cover:

Now the light housings, oh sh*t handles, and felt trim around the sunroof are still grey. I really like the contrast however i may dip the light housings and try and fine black oh sh*t handles...but not really sure yet. So here are the results:

So that's the reason i got the black sun visors :)

Any sound deadening is going to help the overall quietness if the interior.
Has it helped? Yes.
Would it be recommended that people go out and remove the headliner just to add the sound deadener? No.it's a lot of work and the payoff doesn't make up for what needs to be removed. But since I was already removing the headliner there wasn't a reason not to do it.

Looks great Bill! I would however match up the gray pieces.
I would have to search for the oh sh*t handles in black. I could get away with dipping the light housings but anything I would be touching with my hands alot would need to be black from the factory. I was just lucky I found the visors online and for a great price.

I'll be honest I don't like that half of the parts are one color and half are another color.
I can understand that. I don't mind it right now but I think eventually I want to convert the grey pieces to black. I just have to keep an eye out for parts that show up on ebay. I'm not that crazy to buy the parts I need at full pop.
