Hi All. Bought a second hand 2011 ct200h 3 years ago with 120k km on the clock. Now has done 170k km. It goes well but recently have experienced an intermittent high pitched noise coming from the passenger footwell area. It may start while driving, continues for a minute or two, then stops. This may or may not be repeated soon after but always starts and stops within a few minutes. The only way I have found I can stop the noise is to stop the car and turn off the engine. It disappears immediately. I can then restart the car and continue without the noise continuing or restarting. Confirmed the source of the noise is inside the car and not in the engine bay or the outside of the vehicle. No warning lights come on and there are no other factors which cause the noise to start apart from normal driving mode. Thoughts?
