Hide remote when swimming in the oceam

I was wondering whether there is a way to leave the remote in the car and only take the key with me. I want to avoid that the remote gets damaged when swimming in the ocean.

My attempts to leave the remote at the weirdest places In the car didn't work. the doors wouldn't stay locked.

Hi Tomsterdude
1. If you are putting the key in the *water proof* bag - is it big enough - and - waterprrof enough - for the whole key fob (or is the whole key fob too big for your wetsuit?
2. You *could* remove the battery from key fob and effectively de-actvate the radio signal in the device so it is bot detected by the car. You will still need to carry the metal key - but this mgiht provide an alternative?
