So I ordered the 3022 festoon bulb for the cargo light. That same sized light i wedged in the dome light but, it is not fitting for the cargo light. I need a smaller sized bulb. Anyone know what that would be? I got mine from superbrightleds.com
P.S. That led map light and dome light switch out is a BIG improvement!
Hi there, I had the same problem, but nothing a little clever bending can't solve. You need a 28mm festoon to fit perfectly, not something that is readily available unless you want to risk buying something on that well know auction site from a seller in Asia who has very little good feedback about their products, sorry going off topic.
Anyhow, I ordered a 31mm festoon LED and bent the metal connector that is the opposite end to the switch, just bent it slightly back and the bulb fits. Just be firm but gentle. I avoided the switch end just in case I bent something and the switch stopped working.
Mine works fine, switch is a little stiffer than it was but to be honest I had the same unit in my is250 and I never switched it off. Don't get me wrong the switch still works perfectly.
