Hey everyone...so I was searching the forum to see how people have taken apart the hatch tail light housing and I found one where they used a flat tip soldering iron to go around the sides of the housing to get it opened. I was wondering if anyone had tried throwing them in the oven on the lowest setting to soften up the adhesive instead of using the soldering iron.
I did this with my Scion xB headlights and it worked like a charm so before I just throw the tail lights into the oven I figured I would ask first.

I did the flat tip method. I dont believe you can use the oven. You can try i though and see if you can get it apart, you wont hurt it

Was thinking about this aswell on the account I want to transparent red paint the tails. I too did the oven method on my old xB heads and tails. But am with you on being hesitant doing it to the Ct tails lol

I just wish you could buy the tail lights cheap online just in case...

I guess there is only one way to find out if it's going to work or not...
