Has anyone replaced the brake master cylinder on a CT?

Just bought a 2012 CT about a week ago. Mechanic quoted me $2,500. I'm in Washington DC area. Even that seems high as this repair was covered for warranty holders up until Nov 2022 and the document cites reimbursement for 5 hours of labor (I was quoted 10 hours). It seems from my research that the internet things this job should be about 3-5 hours labor. The part does cost about $900 from a Lexus dealer though so a reasonable price seems like even with a $150 hourly it shouldn't be above $1.8k.
