Can anyone recommend a good glass cleaner that is truly streak free? Preferrably, one that doesn't stink (like Windex, for example). I don't want the inside of my car smelling like ammonia. I grabbed a Rain-X off the shelf at a local Target... sucks. I can see hazy marks in the sunlight.
Also, I heard newspapers are good for cleaning glass? Anyone use that method? Right now I'm simply using 2 terry cloths...one to clean/wipe, followed by a dry wipe with the second cloth.

Newspaper works good on House windows. The black ink polishes the glass. I have never tried newspaper on auto glass. I would stick with the 2 terry cloths.

+1 and also make sure your glass is cool before putting any chemicals on it. Almost anything will streak if its even warm.

I'm very finicky about having clean, streak-free windows too. For the outside of the windshield I use the same type of squeegee and net sponge you see at gas stations (pic below) and keep it in a bucket of clean water in the utility sink in my garage. After use, I run the net sponge under the faucet for 10-15 seconds to clean it, then place it back in the bucket. For the excess water around the edges, I use a microfiber auto cloth that's available from Costco in a pack of 36 towels that will probably last me a lifetime since they are washable.

For the exterior of the other windows as well as the interior of all, I also use Stoner's "Invisible Glass" and the same microfiber auto cloths. Works like a charm.

Amazon carries the squeegee I'm talking about for $10 and change.

I too use Stoner's (for my glass and also for tire shine). Dang, you really have your own squeegee!? Never heard of anyone owning one of those before.

No, but it wouldn't hurt to try. I use the aerosol can.

Newspaper works great on car windows, leaving no streaks but wear some gloves instead of bare hands because the ink will come off on your hands.

Don't use Windex on automotive glass. It has ammonia which will ruin your tint.

Sounds quite effective, but...I don't think I can stand the slightest smell of vinegar inside the car.

Substitute windshield washer fluid for the vinegar. It works wonderful. I use it to clean 3 large sliding glass doors. Quick and easy. I spray on the windshield washer fluid wipe it with a blue paper towel, squeegee the excess fluid and dry with newspaper.
