Hey Everyone!

So I am nearing 5000 miles and I'm getting ready for my first service! I scheduled an appointment for two weeks from now, and im really excited. So aside from the overall inspection, I have an opportunity at this time to get some customization done on my settings!

Here are some things that I am definitely going to ask for them to change for me:
- Holding down lock/unlock buttons on the remote to open and close windows
- Changing the reverse sound to a single beep instead of continuous ones
- Having the driver's side door handle sensor unlock all the doors instead of just the driver's side one.

What else have you guys gotten done? Any other recommendations???

Thanks! :D

I just had mine done 2 weeks ago.

They did the windows and the reverse beep and I had them change the a/c system so that I control whether it goes from fresh air to recirculate. I prefer this option because I can't stand smelling exhaust fumes from the car in front of me. I now have total control over that setting. Before, if placed in auto a/c, it would choose for you.

I took my CT to them in showroom condition (cleaned inside and out and waxed) and had the service writer walk around the car with me. I told him I did not want my car washed or cleaned whatsoever and that I expected the car back in the same condition, not worse. I've had bad experiences in the past with Mazda and Volvo, getting my car back with scratches, tears, dings, etc .... I asked to see the recall part they removed. He said they had already boxed it up to send back ?!?!?!?!?!?! Really?

The did a pretty good job, except for the minor scratches on the rims when they removed the lug nuts to rotate the tires. I guess there's no such thing as "same condition" at any dealer.

Good Luck

I'd like the nav screen to not pop up when the car is started. Is that configurable? Also, what's a fair cost getting these settings changed?
Ziggy, I'm sorry about your bad experiences! :( I've usually been blessed with having really good service techs that took care of other cars my family owns. But THANK YOU for the awesome suggestion! I'll make sure to ask them to do that for me!

aNerd, I have no idea if its configurable. I'll ask and let you know though! Also, Lexus offers a free 5k service check-up (in California, at least), and in some cases, also a 10k checkup where they change your oil and everything for you too. Since I'm doing all these configurations at the 5k checkup, they are all free!
