$40K with taxes tho. Its definitely a premium over the Prius. But I drive my wife's Prius maybe once or twice a week and it bores me to death. Literally, I can fall asleep driving the car. At least w/ the Ct200h, it feels "sporty" and luxurious over the Prius. When you break down the options and try to compare apples to apples, (ie add NAV to Prius or remove leather from CT, add Smart Key to Prius, add 17" to Prius or remove 17" from CT) it works out to about $3,000 to pay for the Lexus badge. That's awfully close and many ppl would pay that for the L-badge, "quietness" and "sportyness", superb handling and seating position of the car. I certainly have decided to do so.

Team Lexus: I totally agree. The quietness & sporty/fun factor are so worth it to me. The CT is MUCH quieter than our 2010 Prius and a lot more fun to drive.

Grab a cup of coffee before driving your wife's Prius. haha ;-)

This was the deciding factor that led me to get the CT. To option out a Prius with most of what you get on the CT runs over $32K. I don't know what an "L" is worth on the the front of the car, but the upgraded interior and handling is what makes it worthwhile.

Is the CT worth it over the IS250? After adding the packages together, CT actually costs the same or even more compared to the 2011 IS250RWD.
The IS250 comes with standard: moonroof, leather, 13 speakers..
To get this on the CT, it would be something like $6k of additional costs which would make it even more expensive then the IS..

The CT doesn't seem to be a lower end price car anymore.. =(

That's a good point. Especially when considering I get around 28-31 MPG on my IS250 (2008)

Wife has a 2010 Prius IV, the deciding factor was the layout of the CT was much better than the Prius, the seats are better, more 'goodies' than on the Prius better road feel etc. Even she said, after we got back from our trip from picking up the CT yesterday that she liked it over her Prius, but to bad it didn't have to solar roof. Try using / reaching the seat heaters on the Prius, under the console and 1 temp (High) Vs variable and easy to access. When you look at the Prius V (2010) the difference isnt that much for what you get.

I love Prius. Don't get me wrong. For ultimate fuel eco, the Prius will beat the CT200h by at least 1L/100km. I also find our Prius to be more spacious then the CT200h when loading in strollers and groceries and rear seat leg room. Rear seat leg room is somewhat important when my wife rides in the back w/ our baby. Either way..... our driveway will consist of Prius as my wife's daily driver and for family day-trips and long family outings to the cottage and the CT200h willbe my daily driver and for familiy short-hauls.

The race car is for getting my need for speed out!

You can't really compare IS250 to CT200h. They achieve totally different goals. One's a sports sedan and one is an eco-friendly hatch. They are just completely different. And yes, the IS250 is good on gas..... but real-world 8.9L/100km vs CT200h real-world 4.4L/100km is still......DOUBLE the cost of fuel (plus premium vs regular).

LOL... ditto, Prius is the wife's and for taking folks with us, mine is the CT, good mileage and a fair amount of room and comforts and to get my fix on 'my need for speed' it is the Carrera (which only sees good weather) which also gets fairly good mileage for over 400HP :)
