Engine Oil

Okay there is an older thread I read through but the forum suggested starting a new one. Is there really a difference in taking my car to Toyota vs Lexus to have the oil changed other than price?

No. Oil filter is the same, engine oil is the same, the oil change method is the same (Toyota Prius, Auris, C-HR,...).
Maybe the coffee in the buffet is tastier in Lexus :)

Hahaha I bring my own coffee it’s better than any of those places. I just don’t get why Lexus is almost double the price. They quoted me $129 and I heard Toyota is like $70ish.
Lexus is expensive because it's simply Lexus (premium brand). I don't know how it looks like in the US, but here in Europe, Lexus service employees wear suits and Toyota employees wear t-shirts. And this must be reflected somewhere = on the price.

I absolutely have taken my car to Toyota after learning the differences in prices. Fun fact, a lot of dealers will allow you to bring your own oil & filter and will charge you a flat small labor fee instead of the regular price. I used to do that. It came out to about $80 with parts and labor. I now bring my car to local shops and bring the oil/filter. Comes out to about $60. I'll probably go back to changing it myself if I want to save anymore money.
