Hello all you Ct'ers.

Well I finally got the call to say my long awaited DAB module had arrived and would I bring the car in to have it fitted, should only take an hour so we can do it while you wait, said the nice man at Lexus...........

After 2 hours, they came over and said "the connection on the back of the radio is different to that of the DAB module.

Apparantly this is a major issue as the third party company that manufactures the module have designed the wrong connector. So the car was all put back together and I still have to wait, time is unknown at this moment in time.

So, if you have one on order and get the call, get the dealer to check with Lexus Technical, they know of the problem but have not told any of the dealers.

Also, one final thing, when I collected the car it had a 'check hybrid system' warning on it, took them another 2 hours to reset the software as their plug in computer did not have any CT200h diagnostics on it.......

Well my DAB finally got fitted yesterday, I am a very pleased man, in fact my dealer is very pleased as well, they have not fitted one before and have not been asked to fit another? Strange that, especially here in the UK where FM will start to get switched off in 2013.........

Anyhow, works really well, sounds great, even has a rewind function allowing you to go back at least 60 minutes.

Fantastic, glad you got it sorted. Can I be cheeky and ask how long the part took to order/arrive and how much it was? I do miss the DAB radio

No problem at all, got the dealer to throw it in FOC but it retails at £350 plus fitting, should only take an hour I guess. The DAB module is a Lexus product and uses the installed loom, also if you have the Mark Levinson it appears on another tab. Not too sure if it works on the other stock audio systems, sorry.

I ordered the car in September, arrived in March. The DAB module was meant to be ordered at the same time but didn't arrive until mid April.

Is it possible to fit a DAB+ module from a crashed car to my 2011 model with original Lexus audio?
I understand that i need an antenna as well

You can yes I was quoted £450 from Lexus dealer for this incl fitting. It does need an antenna too.
