kalo925 reported an issue with a rattle in the cupholders. Here is the video he recorded showing the problem.

Roger's CT: Cup Holder Review... Design Flaw?

his suggestion was adding a piece of foam to the bottom of the cupholders. I tried this out and have driven around with cups & bottles in place. So far, so good. It seems like the foam absorbs the vibration and solved the problem.

also, the foam is 1/2" thick which raises the cup that much higher giving more "grip" room for shorter cups.

I have enough foam to cut around 20 more sets. If you are interested in a set email me at jeffpleas at gmail dot com. Pay only $3 to cover the cost of shipping.

The foam is waterproof and fits tight enough to prevent fluid from getting under the foam.

The main problem is that the CT200 is too quiet and you here the rattles. Took me a while to find that one rattle was my little box of gum in the door, another was the safety ring from the bottle top on a bottle of Sprite; that one took a while to find as it only occurred when I had an opened bottle of Sprite in the cup holder. I Never noticed either rattle in my old car, a diesel powered Citroen C8 (in the US you would call it a van)

I keep a cleaning/dusting cloth in the cup holder which works a treat to stop cans rattling.

I found a much better solution. Michaels (the arts and crafts store) has self stick foam in all colors. I bought black obviously. It costs $1.5 for an 8.5x11 sheet. It works perfectly and us very durable. It stick well but if I wanted to remove it I easily could. I found out the the lid of a Jiff jar works perfectly for a cutout.

Bad driving experience? Lmao!

I'm not sure what Lmao means, but allow me to further explain the point I was making. Driving a motor car is a highly demanding task that requires 100% mental and physical application. Unfortunately, these skills are not always in evidence, so over 32,000 Americans die in road "accidents" each year - better called road "errors of driver judgement". I can't prove it, but I think cup holders are a major factor.

Thank you Mr. Rogers.

Lmao means "laugh your a** off". Since Lexus is the most restrictive automaker making things as safe as possible and even taking it as far as locking the navigation system while driving they still managed to put cup holders in the car. Obviously they are not very concerned.

Who is Mr. Rogers? Lexus are very concerned. That's why they have all those electronic devices and airbags in the car - so that people who drink and drive might have a chance when they have an accident.

Well this thread went no where fast. Hopefully someone reading this can see the purpose of this thread. Foam board at Michaels. Works like a charm! Drank a cup of coffee on my way to work today. Glad I'm still alive! At least I don't have rattles ;)
I put the OP's foam in my cup holders and it works pretty well. I will also likely find some of what you used from Michaels and give that a try. It would be nice to put a strip all the way around on the sides too. Did you do that or just on the bottom?
