I am slowly getting this idea... The 'basic version' doesn't have leather which dissapoints me deeply. Also, after hearing its 80% the same as an Auris, also dissapoints me. Then the currently 'estimated' 140 BHP, thats barely more than the Prius. The back seat pictures seem pretty cramped as a tiny asian woman can sit there with just enough leg space.

I hope these are all just estimates and the final version will be as I hope..

If the basic version had leather you will PAY MORE for the basic version in the sticker price.

Where did you read it is 80% the same as Auris? Any facts?

The woman has 5 inches in front of her legs.. doesn't look cramped. This is a relatively small car. It is not a large gas guzzling bloated wasteful hummer.

Both of you are wrong..

1. 80% of MECHANICAL PARTS
2. CT200h is 7cm longer than Auris
3. And YES giving a cheaper solution to people who have less money to spend will make this car a SUCCESS! Don't forget that NO LEATHER OPTION is also available in A3 AUDI and BMW-1 both ct200h's competirors.. Plus AUDI is also available with 1200cc ...which is LAME in my point of view..

Its difficult to tell until they start to arrive and you can actually sit in one and maneuver around, drive it play with all the buttons etc. There is hype about any car on the market this is how they get people exited to want to go sit in one and decide if they want to blow hard earned cash on one.

yeah you really can't get too much back legroom in these short wheelbase cars. Think Mazda 3 hatch - nothing left when driver's seat shoved back.

You get a bit more back room in like a GTI, but they really cut down the cargo space.

Ya'll should drive the 2010 Prius to see what it's like. You may not dig climbing a twisty road with its ECVT. Or you may like it.

Been driving an '09 Prius almost 2 years now. added up 8.5k miles of gas receipts .. sure enough 50.3 MPG ... average, no hypermiling. what hybrids are about.

anyrate, hello everyone ;)

5" infront of knees, but her footroom is cramped. But yes it is a fairly small car , 170" length, 102" wheelbase.

What I meant was, as son as the woman does not sit with a 90 degree back angle, she will be cramped. Right now she is sitting in an ideal position. Exact fitting to the chair. But who sits like this for more than 15 minutes?
