Post-tsunami production update from Costco.

Does this mean it is possible that they are not offering a Costco discount on some cars due to low supply? I went through the program but the dealer told me they currently don't have a Costco discount price for the CT.

I ordered 4/12/11 and was able to get $750 off ($500 for base and $250 for all the options) as part of the Costco program. I was told that they no longer honor the Costco discount program due to low supply until further notice.

Weird... I just called Costco to ask about it they said that they do not currently see an exclusion for the CT200h but there may have been one when I first spoke to the dealer. They said they will look into it and get back to me today. Hopefully the discount is back.

Just got the call from Costco. They said the CT200h discount is currently valid and that it is now $350 under MSRP.

The best service I found...go to Truecar.com...put in your local information, build the car the way you want it. When I was going to buy local, it worked. Only the internet managers it gives you to contact really know what it is. They subscribe to it. Gives you a nice percentage off the price...let me know how it works for you.

That is what Costco says. What does the dealer say?

Costco said they spoke to my sales person about the pricing and to let him know that the price was valid again. I wasn't expecting them to call him so I called and left my sales person a message so hopefully he gets back to me soon.

The Cotsco Pricing is managed by the Dealership and partnered with Costco. In our Area, the program has been suspended until further notice.

Update...
I spoke to my sales person today and he will be honoring the Costco price. At the time I spoke to him in early July it was not available but he said that has now changed and I could get the pricing.

He had offered me $200 off anyway which I was happy to get. But an extra $150 off is nice. I did apologize to him since Costco called him directly and I didn't mean to get him in any trouble or anything. He said it was fine and knows that Costco does do follow ups and this can happen.
