Just wandering what is the going price for an oil change on the CT at the dealer.
Being I have never own a Lexus..

This is my first Lexus too. We get the first oil change free @ 10000 miles. After that, I've heard it's around $120 because of the synthetic oil and the Lexus premium upcharge. Before I pay that much, I will inquire at my local Toyota dealer. They can probably do better.

I am going to have to check with my dealer but $120 thats steep. I have never used synthetic oil so don't know their cost. My Jag is much cheaper than that and everything for the Jag is expensive.

My thoughts on getting a car serviced away from the dealership:
I don't recommend it. In my 35 years of buying cars, I have been fortunate to deal with fairly honest dealers. I drove Hondas all my life until the last 3 cars - Mazda 6 GT wagon (no longer available in Canada), Mazda CX-9 (great car, but got sick of filling it up) and or course my new CT!
All 3 dealerships I've dealt with (Honda, Mazda and Lexus) have been very good. Even though you may pay a little less away from the dealership, there are advantages to keep you at the dealer.
I think the main reason is the relationship. Nothing will go farther with problems than a great history and relationship with the dealer. Not only do they have factory trained, certified technicians, but the dealer will have acess to information on your car unmatched anywhere else.
Every good dealer wants to be fair and honest with you. It's their business! If you have a problem, they will look after it as best they can with what they can and are able to do. I've found in the past that if an issue came up, and the dealer is aware of it, the resolution can come even after the warranty. My CX-9 had a problem with the factory Nav/radio system. It would cut out once in a while for a day or two then come back on. The dealership could not get a replacement radio for quite some time. But I didn't complain (too much!). I knew that when they got one, I would be looked after - even after the warranty period if necessary. It took almost a year, but I eventually did get a replacement. Lo and behold the replacement came in just before I traded it in on my new Lexus!
All I'm saying, from experience, is trust a good dealer, pay the ongoing maintenance, build a good relationship, and you WILL be looked after properly. It's in their best interest!

$35 oil change vs $120 oil change + dealership love.
No offense but come on, give me break. While admittedly I have never had that kind of a bromance relationship with my dealership as you have but let's not be a sucker here. In the end everyone is out to make a buck and their "best interest" is to come out ahead.
After my complimentary 10k mile service, that'll be the last time I see my dealer.
Humm, maybe it is a Canadian thing. I have had a very good relationship with my Honda dealer - right down to them telling me I should take my 15 year old Civic to an independent shop who would take the time to search for parts. And that thing was a cash cow for a mechanic.
I am not ignorant of mechnical things work - cars, planes, etc. - and I have generally agreed with the Honda service folk's assessments be they "must fix", "maybe soon", or "don't bother".
Now my great guy on the Honda service desk wants me to drop by when I get the CT to show it to him. Hope to fulfill that promise soon.
Lexus has to match this sort of customer service and it has nothing to do with free car washes!

That will keep me going to the dealer for service !Like anything, there are no absolutes, especially when it comes to dealerships. I like to stick with the dealership when they have competent and honest technicians, unfortunately that is not always the case. I have found my local Honda dealership to be competent and fair with me. It has taken me awhile and some $$, but unfortunately my local Toyota dealership has proven to have technicians that are consistently incompetent in diagnosing problems or dishonest, or both.
Did you apply online or at the dealership? Who is the creditor(visa/mastercard/etc)?
On my Prius I paid less than $25 per oil change at the dealer with synthetic 0w-20w Toyota Oil. I consider that to be quite reasonable and so I got all the changes done there. If my Lexus dealer tries to charge me $150 then I guess I will just have to use the two 5 quart Mobil 1 jugs I bought at Walmart for less than $25 each a few months ago.
I still have no intention of using any of the quick change places. Seen and heard of too many horror stories.
Why can't we take our cars to a Toyota dealer?
I routinely take my Retro Thunderbird to a Lincoln dealer which is far more familiar with the engine which was also used in the Lincoln LS and Jaguar cars.

You can apply online or over the phone for the Visa Card.
Creditor is Lexus Financial Services.
I usually stay with the dealer while it’s under warrantee. (We also own a Lexus RX and over the years the cost of maintenance is not much different than going outside). Synthetic oil is more $ but is also spec’d for the CT. For the short time I’d rather go to a place that sees a lot of CT’s than a mechanic that gets them once and a while. Our dealer also extends a free loaner as long as we pre-arrange the service date. I go outside for my older M3 but that's to speed shop, (also always synthetic oil).

I buy my oil, bring it in ,save ~$30/per change on their cost of their synthetic....and get the wash and interior cleaning done for "free".
Just for information purposes. When I first purchased my CT in September I called my local Toyota Dealer in Marina Del Rey in Los Angeles about whether they serviced the CT or not. They said that they did and the oil change would cost around $75. Im not sure if prices have changed but it is almost more than half cheaper than Lexus. After 10,000 miles I would personally take it to Toyota since it is essentially the same car as the Prius and they know what they are doing right?
