Hello fellow CTs,

Just started to get into cars and adding some mods to my car.
I want to change my lights to HID and I heard something about the relay harness...
Can you please help to inform me whether I should order/install that as well??

The HID lights will be one of the 35W 5.5K lights.

If you really want HIDs spend some time searching and reading on the forum, there are several good writeups that tell you exactly what to do, the best brands, etc. I will say LEDs have come a long way in the last several years and while they may not be quite as bright, are still much better than halogens for less money and easier install IMO.

A relay harness is not required for slim ballast HID. For the older style ballast, it might not be a bad idea due to the increased voltage requirement at ignition.
That being said, LED bulbs have come a long way. I have a pair of Beamtechs in mine and they're excellent. Brightness is on par with my old HIDs and the beam pattern is even better.
