No - you can rotate and slide it from side to side but you are not able to adjust the angle from vertical to horizontal.
It is possible to rotate it a full 180 degrees and put it in backwards, so this is a valid question. Make sure that the insert base is flush with the console; if not, then you have it backwards.

It does sit flush...it is just that the angle of the phone tilts to the right when in the holder...if you try putting the holder in the other way, it really doesn't fit well or flush. You can see on the bottom of the holder that one side is kind of rounded so it will only fit in the base one way.
It pisses me off that I didn't get this device holder with my vehicule in Canada and I still can't get one and I work for LEXUS!!!!! I constantly have my iphone hooked up to my USB port on my radio in the armrest and my iphone has to sit in the cupholder until I can get one of these. Anyone know any aftermarket ones that fit in the OEM slot for the original part?

This works really well for my iPhone in my BMW and holds the phone securely and at the perfect angle and height.
Simply slides on to the vent.
Cost about $5 on ebay also available for other phone brands.
To be honest the Lexus OEM device holder is not the greatest design and the phone is too low down if you use it as a GPS tool.

That is a pretty insanely ridiculous price, isn't it? And I think the quality is poor. It's very flimsy. I put my GPS on it and every time I press a button that thing rocks back and forth. I hate the wiring running up the center, too. If it weren't for that, I'd keep the GPS on the dash. I wish there was some way to tuck away the wires.

I still haven't taken my holder out of the packaging. So far, my blackberry fits real nicely in the rubber padded recessed area just next to my right thigh (below the shifter). I think I like the home there, that device holder is just too obtrusive.

Sorry for bumping an old thread.
I am looking for a good iPhone holder for CT 200h, and since I live in Europe we don't have the standard holder that you guys have. But I am curious how it looks like. Is it possible for you guys to post a picture of it? And do you recommend it, and if so, is there any place I can buy?

I just did a search on eBay motors for 'CT200H' and there are no device holders. Where did you see them? I'd like to get one.

I'll take it - if it works OK with the iPhone 4 (doesn't bounce around a lot?)
I mean - just how steady/sturdy is it? Can you actually touch and operate the phone easily with one hand? Without having to hold the back of the holder with your other hand?
I love the holder.. works perfectly for what it's function is. It holds the phone well, steady and sturdy...
Yes there might be a little rattle at times.. that could be taken care of. Doesn't rattle as much as the cup holder...
And.. yes it is low and not convenient to look at when driving, but really any place is not going to be good for that.. distracted is distracted.
