Can the rear headrests be removed? I like the fact that they flop down when the seats are lowered, but they are so flacid in that position that they move around and make noise while I am driving. If they can't be [easily] removed, maybe I can use a bungee cord to keep them from moving.

Same way that you release the lock to fold just pull it all the way up.

I'm searching for replacement headrest with lower profile similar to those used in some Prius.
Me too. I've seen images of the ct200 with the lower profile headrests. Perhaps someone who has these can tell us what country they are in and they can be ordered.

OLD thread but figured I'd post. I don't like the rear headrests and how much they block the rear view.

I bought two sets of JDM headrests. One set is leather (won't match our fake leather but hopefully it's close) and the second set is a suede material that everyone gets but USA...

I'll post updated pics once I get them.

I know in the USA law is to have full size rear headrests, but I don't/won't have rear passengers so this is a benefit to having the smaller ones. Removing them completely looks like butt, and folding them down so they stick foward also looks silly not to mention they'll bounce around as you drive...

Interesting, didn't know that was a thing. This will probably make the rear seats easier to fold down too. Though, you could just leave the seats folded down, I've done that. Even though nobody sits there though, we do want things to look nice lol.

Never knew there was a difference in EU and US models, my headrests, and all the other CT's I've seen here, are the smaller ones. I have them in the lowest position always and the seats fold down without having to move the front seats forward. Ofcourse it also depends on how far back the frontseats are set.

Yep that's the difference between US and Rest of the world (ROT), we have silly rules and regulations that give us different versions of the car. Headlights/reflectors/seats...etc. It's a PITA.

The leather headrests have arrived at the proxy so I'm having them create the shipping and hope to have it here in a couple weeks.

But those were my views as well in terms of if I have to put the seats down, I don't have to mess with anything or move my seat up. I'm 6'2 so I have the seat pretty far back for leg room. But the better view out the rear window will be improved. I do know when I put the head rests down and folded position, I was like wow, this is so much better... you can actually see the blind spot windows in the back, where with the default headrests they are blocked for USA folks.

Yay they came in today. I actually have another set coming in that's black suede so that should be here sometime next week. But I'm happy with the black leather. The texture is slightly different from the fake leather that we have in the seats but the colors the same which is nice. If you had the leather seats then these would go perfectly.

Visibility is now greatly increased out the back window and I can now see when I turn my head the rear most windows behind the passenger seats whereas with the stock headrests you would not be able to see out the windows at all.

The only thing that I have noticed was the the post distance was slightly wider than the USDM ones but a simple fix of simply squeezing them together and then they insert into the back seats. It looks like they are slightly angled forward a little bit and I believe that's because of the way that our brackets are or holes on the back of the seats compared to the rest of world. I might play with the idea of slightly adjusting the posts on the rear headrest to balance out the angle slightly.

I'm never going to have people in the backseat so to me the visibility is the greatest having this without having missing headrest which would look incomplete. Plus if I need to lower the back seats I can do that now without having to pull the headrest up and out.
