I bough a second hand 2018 CT200H 17" tires, always maintained at the lexus dealer and mechanically its impeccable and I love to drive it as a commuter car and still get excellent fuel economy (55-60 US mpg).
But the quality of the lexus I have seem so bad compared to my previous car (honda civic which should be miles behind in build quality) with multiple noises, rattles and squeaks all over the place. Granted it is not new but still is only 5 year old "premium" car well maintained (according to Lexus).

For instance, some of my annoyances:
  • Leather parts in the central console where the knee touches keep making a squeaky noise every time someone touches there (Both passenger and driver side)
  • Clicking sound coming from the front suspension (both sides) on less than ideal pavement, I guess it might be something to do with L-SB-0040-14 (Hope the dealer solves this in the next schedule maintenance)
  • Door panels on the front : if I press on the upper part near the mirror its rock solid and makes no sound. If I do the same closer to the door frame it squeaks (happens on both doors) and goes down a bit. Is this normal ??
  • And then finally some clicking sound somewhere in glovebox or closer to the window, I cant really tell (I have nothing inside the glovebox and already removed the tray)

Other than that I love this car, but while the materials are good the assembly seemed atrocious

Any advice on how to solve this "issues"

Best regards
Daniel

I think just refrain from pressing anything with the car. It has clicks but not noticeable when driving.

The clicking noise at the glovebox area is the first time encounter. Probably it has something to do leather in the middle console, that is most of the noise is coming from.

Thanks, I will try to use felt tape to solve the center console and glovebox rattles

An update is due as the problem wasnt in the car itself:
The origin of the rattles and noises and vibrations originated from a damaged wheel (right front) and uneven thread wear on the tires.
After aligning the direction, wheel calibration, straighten the wheel and replacing tires everything is quiet and smooth while driving.

Also used felt tape on center console knee pads and worked out perfectly
