Is it only my CT or is anyone else finding that the blinker doesn't automatically turn off unless you make a sharp turn? Even when I make a 90 degree turn, if it's a wide turn (like when there are multiple turn lanes), the blinker doesn't always turn off.

Is this something that can be adjusted at the dealership?

Yes, I find that the turn signal switch is not as sensitive to steering wheel angle as in my previous cars. I have to cancel manually more often. Why is it that there is no such thing as a perfect car? ;)

Highly doubt it can be adjusted. Not a big deal IMO, it's right near the wheel where your hands should be, so it's within hands reach and easy to turn off. It's only happened a couple of times to me. You could always drive like the rest of the Massholes here and just not use your blinker! ;)

I have to laugh at JimmyC's.... "Massholes". That is HILARIOUS!

Mine does that daily on my way to work, on one mild right turn. I have to remember to turn it off each time. It's no biggie for me, but that's the only time it happens. I think it would bother me more if it happened more often.

Yes, I like that it has a quiet signal noise, but that means you can easily forget it if you have the music on. ;-)

Lastly, can I rant for a hot sec. I despise INCONSIDERATE people that don't use their turn signals or the people WITHOUT brake lights. Those two thing ANNOY the crap of out me. Ugggghhh.... (can you tell?) ha-ha

UGH. Seriously. Happens SO MUCH in LA. It's almost as if their turn signals don't exist.

I think the worst are people who leave their turn signals ON.

I only have one WIDE turn where it doesn't turn off, but that's not unexpected. My other cars have exhibited the same behavior.

I guess it may not feel luxurious compared to BMW, who uses the electronically controlled turn signal lever vs. the physical one.

Bill, you don't notice the green flashing emblem on the dash while driving? (BTW - I'm not trying to be a wise guy w/ that comment).

Everyone in New England knows that term! :) I'm proud to say I wasn't born here (I'm from NY)!

That's funny "a hot sec", I haven't heard that term before!

And yes, I too DESPISE people who don't use them. I always joke with my son telling him I guess their car didn't come with blinkers. Or joke to myself that it must cost $ to use them or something.

The other thing that drives me nuts is when it's a dark rainy day and people don't have their headlights on and you can barely see them on the highway. It's as dangerous as hell!

Here in LA, almost nobody uses them (turn signals) and yet everyone says they are GREAT multi-taskers! It really makes me wonder?

I'm thinking of making a custom bumper sticker. It will read...

"You Multi-Task? You Can't Even Drive AND Signal!" :p

On second thought, maybe not. I don't want to be shot at!!

Jimmy: You are too funny. At least you're teaching your son good driving habits early.
You're right about the headlights. That can be pretty dangerous. Heyyy, I've been to NY once and they driver like fricken maniacs. LOL.. (BTW... I'm from L.A. and they drive crazy too)

Scott: That would be a GREAT bumper sticker. Funny!!! (and so true!!)

It depends on how I'm driving. If I'm concentrating on mileage (which is how I'm currently driving), I'll have my eye on the instant mileage gauge most of the time and I'll notice it right away.

However, if I'm just driving with moderate traffic and there's no reason to keep an eye on the speedometer (which is how I drove prior to getting my CT, and will, in all likelihood, start driving the CT in a year or two), I might not notice the blinker for a quarter mile or so (which is too far to be driving down the street with blinker inappropriately flashing).

What's worst, driving with blinker on or with gas door open?

haha, this thread actually reminds me of the first day when I got my car. I was excited to see how the blinker going to feel like and how it's going to sound like. After I made my first turn, I got an answer - feels and sounds just like a Corolla..................
