Has anyone ordered/installed the rear bike carrier that attaches via a trailer hitch? I'd rather place the bikes on this type of carrier behind the car vs. on the roof. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. The Curt Mfg website now shows an available tow hitch for the CT 200h:

The only concern that I would have would be with the warranty. IIRC, with some manufacturers, if you add a trailer hitch they assume that the car is being used to tow something. Since the owner's manual of the CT specifically says that the car is not suitable for towing, I could see them attempting to deny a warranty claim should you have engine or transmission problems.

Order the Curt hitch. Installation looks very straight forward. I'll post an update after installation is complete. Also ordered the Thule Helium 2 bike rack....stay tuned!
