I took a look in the trunk and noticed two big bolts right behind the spare tire. These bolts hold down the metal shell of the hybrid battery. I checked the potential between these bolts and the positive terminal of the 12V battery and got a solid 12.5 V, so this looks like it's a solid ground. Anyone see any problems with grounding here, or does anyone have a place that has worked better for them?

Thanks,

- Jason

That should work just fine. I have installed a few custom systems with amps and you want to ground to the body.

If there is paint where to contact surface is to where you are grounding your wire terminal, take some sandpaper and sand away the paint so it's a cleaner ground.
Always a good idea to get a clean ground connection. This particular bolt is just metal on metal, no paint at all.
