Is everyone happy with the video quality of the backup camera? I'm talking about the factory nav. screen, when in reverse. I have never seen the rear view mirror backup option, or another CT nav. screen with backup video. In comparing it to my 06 Prius, the video screen seems dark and kind of grainy, especially at night, backing into my garage. I've tried various tilt positions, and looking at it with and without polarized sun glasses. The Prius video screen has always been bright and easy to see details, night or day. I don't understand why the Lexus should be inferior to the Prius in this respect.

Overall, I'm thrilled with the car, though I've only done just over 500 miles. I have over 108,000 mostly trouble-free miles on the Prius. I just wish the video quality was better. All other screen functions seem fine, nav, audio selection, etc. Any other Prius owners with new CTs to compare video quality?

Hmm. I have an 06 Prius as well and think the video quality on the CT is better.. Its outstanding.. Better than on any other car I've driven.

I have bright LEDs for my backup and license plate, so they seem to light everything up better at night.

I'm actually quite impressed with the back up camera image quality, especially at night! The reverse lights seem to provide adequate illumination for it!

Watch out for foggy conditions and spider webs, though; it's a tiny little lens! On one damp night leaving work (very late), the image was all hazy and obscured. I couldn't make out a thing; there was dew on the lens! (Just like the rest of the car!) Recently, there have been what look like heavy "tree vines" going through the image; spider web strands!

I think the video quality is ok, but I think the back up camera on my Acura TL is better. Just my opinion.

Its pretty poor during the day and terrible at night my mazda 3 2016 was outstanding, looking at some upgrade options
