I live in San Francisco and in a super hilly area. Have managed parallel parking easily in many cars. My 2012 CT200h has challenged me in one way. Backing up a steep hill in order to parallel park. The first time I tried, it surprised me when the car would not engage into reverse and just kept rolling forward. Anyone out there have the magical answer?? I've used the brake feature for going up hills from a stop. Would appreciate any help, thanks~~

Oh yeah, it's a scary feeling. I presume the hill steepness is like Taylor St, and you already know how to use the left foot to brake while using the right foot to press the gas pedal. Then it's like this for downhill:

1) Ensure it is in Normal or Sport mode for an easier time backing up. After some practice, Eco mode is also possible.
2) Press the gas pedal a little harder, compared to what we accustomed to with gasoline cars. It's a huge dead zone before you feel the car stops rolling.
3) Do as little takes as possible. The car's excellent turning radius make fitting the space easy, but the brakes are a tad too sensitive to do much fine-tuning.

That's it, lol. For uphill, just use the brake feature after you fit the space. It's great.
