Having read about the availability in Japan of an arm pad for the 'ledge' on the centre console I contacted one of my friends over there who bought one for me and sent it over. To fit this you need to take out the centre console but this was very easy and all credit to Lexus for the way they have designed the construction/assembly of the interior fitments. It took me half an hour max and I'm really pleased. Why it's not offered in the UK in the first place I do not
know. Have shown the part number if it's any help to other right hand drive countries.

Thanks for providing the Lexus part number - after speaking to Lexus UK and Toyota they were unable to sell me the part which was very frustrating. They could see it on the parts system, it' just not available in the UK.
I found a supplier in Japan on ebay UK and imported the part myself. The company is JZS International - their website seems to under construction but they responded very promptly to my eBay order. The part isn't cheap at £94 + £29 import duty but then the car cost £32K so I guess about right for a piece of plastic!

Below are a couple of pix of what the part looks like. I'm going to remove the centre console and drill two holes and bolt it to the console. here is a link to some instructions on how to remove the centre console

I will post some completed pix once it's installed

Below is an image of one side of the console pulled away from main assembly - both sides pull out from the bottom end.

Console out / rotated to allow access to underside of arm rest.
Drilled two 5mm holes for the bolts that retain the arm pad

Very pleased with the finished result.
