It's unfortunate for the earthquake and to try and make anything of these numbers means nothing because of the disaster the supply was not there, but the demand was and still is. If the supply was there I bet it would have been another record breaking month for both the CT and Prius.

Agreed 100%. With the price of gas these days, hybrid is definitely the way to go. It's just that when people see new toys, they all want it NOW - not at the end of August.

They are losing sales due to supply but also there are a lot of '12 cars coming on line with regular gasoline engines with hwy ratings of 40+ mpg's. Been reading the reviews and some are very posititve regarding performance and handling. Referring to Civic, Focus, Cruze Eco, etc. And the MSRP are a lot lower then the Lexus. While net mpg savings are less overall, the price difference is compelling.

No kidding, plus that the mention of a ct 300h, and Mercedes bring their A-Class into the mix it could move that curve over a bit.
