I am wondering as well has anyone gone back to the dealer for a fix or gotten any information? I am a hopeful soon to be ct200h owner and would like to know if lexus has a fix for this. If it happens to me I would be in the dealer right away asking for a fix.

I will hit up my dealer for the 5k service soon. I will mention it to them. It has happened to me multiple times. What a pain.

My wife an I picked up our CT at the end of March. The first day the passenger door handle trim popped off, but it did snap back on. The next time I was at the dealership to pick up a cargo tray, I mentioned it to the salesman. The car was taken to the service area for inspection, pictures were taken and a lot of interest was shown in this defect. I was told that a new part would be ordered. I was later called by the dealer and told that Lexus was aware of this problem and working on a fix and they would let me know when the fix was available. I was called last week and took the car in on Tuesday to have the problem corrected. I was told that they are using different clips on the trim piece. I am not sure whether the trim piece is new or just the clips on it. The few times the passenger door has been closed since the fix, there hasn't been a problem.

The other day, my 11 year old pulled off the passenger door handle trim and hurt his hand in the process of pulling the door shut. I put it back in place and then couldn't figure out how it came off since it would not come off when I intentionally tried to pull it off. I think maybe a smaller hand can grip only the part that comes off while someone with a bigger hand doesn't seem to have the same problem. If anyone form Lexus is reading, I wish the passenger side had the same door handle setup as the driver's side.

Just got back from 5K service. Dealership will order parts, but doesn't think it will fix the problem. They think the problem is in the actual door panel and not the trim itself. I hope they don't replace the door panel if they don't have to.

I thought it was an issue with the clips in the trim piece, but my idea was quickly dismissed. oh well. I hope this goes to corporate and they figure something out before the dealership starts to get creative and try to fix things in an unorthrodox way.

Matt, my sales guy told me it is a clip replacement. Original are to small.
The handle came loose on the Demo car when a lady tried to close the door.
He told me they fixed the problem on the demo and Lexus is aware of the problem.

That's what I mentioned to the service director, and he said they would have to replace the whole door panel, which I am not thrilled about. If they don't get their **** straight, I'm declining to have it repaired by them.

He didn't exactly make me feel so good about my mods either. And my SA that I booked the appointment with was there, but some other SA came in and kinda took over instead, even though I insisted on working with a specific SA. Not happy this time around with my service experience. You would think they would also write down what was actually done to my car instead of copying and pasting the wrong service schedule onto my invoice. I really don't think the 15k service was done when I came in for the 5k service. LOL.

I wouldn't let them shuffle you around with someone else unless your regular SA isn't available at the time. They tried doing that many years ago at Cush Jag here and it didn't fly with me. Once I had my Service Rep that is the only person I dealt with unless he was gone on my appointment date. I never own a Lexus but everyone says their service is great. We will see.
We do have one service Lexus dealer that has bad reviews down here.

My new Lexus CT200h

My 6 week old CT200h had its first passenger 1 week ago. When she grabbed the door handle it fell off. First reaction, "I:)s this a LEXUS?"
Rang my dealer, genuine concern, bring car over any time.
Took car over today and was honestly told that mine was the second with this problem and Lexus had been informed. Appears that where you grab the handle is exactly where the main attachment clip is located.
The best reflection of any organisation is how quickly they can solve a problem. The Dealer provided a quick fix but I am waiting patiently to hear back from Lexus. Aside from this QC issue, I am very happy with the CT200h.

My car is going to my dealership tomorrow, and they will do a 'temporary' fix to the door handle problem (as Lexus has not put out a bulletin or anything else yet, they are willing to just 'try' something). I will let everyone know what they did and how it worked out.

Just got back from my dealer and they replaced the door handle with a brand-new one that came from California. The clips look much beefier, and so far so good. The new handle feels solid and you would really have to reef on it to pull it off.
Looks like problem fixed!
