I don't think there is a coiled type that has the integrated Traffic antenna, though (is there?).Yes I have done it with garmin nuvi only suggestion is to buy a different cord similar to coiled phone cord it lays better than the one supplied with the nuvi avaable on amazon about $15.00
My Garmin Nuvi 1300LM ($133 on Amazon/$150 with traffic) fits well horizontally in the holder and doesn't have a problem picking up the satellites. I don't attach the power cable because I don't use it for long trips (I have factory nav in other vehicles I use for that purpose). Prior to this Nuvi I had another Nuvi that had traffic info, but the power/antenna cable was so unwieldy because of its length and thickness that I seldom used it.Does anyone use a portable GPS on their Electronic Device Holder? Is it working out well with signal (GPS and Traffic) and...staying put? What GPS device do you have?
That's my exact plan. I just hope the traffic antenna works okay while bundled and tucked away. If not, oh well...in this car, I enjoy being stuck in traffic.I have a Nuvi too. I keep the cord bundled and tuck it next to the passenger seat.
