They had to do a firmware upgrade before they could update the maps from 10.1 to 11.1 (for compatibility reasons), but no obvious changes to the system! I would assume, if you are still on 10.1 map data, that a firmware upgrade will be necessary if you want to update to 12.1.
Anyone considering the 2011/2012 NAV Map version 11.1 Update?
The update is now available. The going rate seems to be $169 and you must visit a dealer to get it installed (another $65, maybe).
Anyone think that it's worth it? It's not $300, but it's still not cheap! I know that it's just a data update, but I'm the sort of person that usually wants to keep things current. What to do; what to do!!
