Hello all, I just took delivery last night on my CT after work AND was able to sell my '04 G35 sedan with 157K miles for CASH, and got $2,500 more than the dealers best offer was!

I ordered my car on 4/13 and it arrived at the dealer on 6/3, not bad for a post-quake production special order car.

I went with this setup:
  • Premium CT (Smoky Granite Mica w/ Caramel Interior)
  • Premium sound package
  • Remote starter
  • Autobahn clear bra
  • Accessory package
My initial feedback so far:
  • very comfortable
  • very quiet (though the engine is a bit loud when under load)
  • not too impressed with premium audio sound
  • AMAZING mileage during break-in period (51.5 MPG for a 42 mile ride ~ 80% highway) I know this can be off by 1-2 MPG, but still!
  • Bluetooth phone connectivity and voice commands are pretty freaking sweet! Never had this option in any prior cars.
Not too shabby! Let the modding begin! I just received my PIAA 2500K yellow fog bulbs and now need to figure out which HID kit to get, as these halogens just aren't cutting it for me.

I have Mark Levison audio in my cars now, so I am not confident this premium audio, could you describe more of your comment?
e.g not good for pop or vocal, clarity etc.
Thanks.
Congrats! Wow, that was a very quick delivery time for a special order... even if there was no quake.
The quietness and mileage really impressed me when I first drove mine, too. This car made me realize I was only blasting audio to drown out the external noises. I barely play music anymore. I'm enjoying the peace and quiet. :)

How are up the hood does your autobahn clear bra go? Mine seems to go 1/3 the way up...and, seems pretty noticeable (the line on the hood)
Beat me to it huh??? Congrats on that. I'm still playing the waiting game and the Lexus iPod shuffle hasn't done much to alleviate things haha.

More than 1/3, it's actually probably 40% of the way up. On the side of the hood, it tapers back/up the hood even more, and ends about 1" or so past the end of the side blinker/headlight housing (if that makes sense). I'd be happy to post/send you pics if needed. I can barely see it, isn't that noticeable to me. The dirtier your car is, then it is likely more noticeable.

Sorry man, yes I did. The wait actually went pretty quickly, maybe I was enjoying my G for as long as I could before getting rid of it? I don't regret it though, but do miss the HP and exhaust note. I wouldn't change my mind if I had to do it again. Good luck man and keep me posted!

I'll do my best. It just seems like there's not enough power supplied to the speakers. Any idea how many Watts this stereo is pushing? The bass and highs just don't have much oomph to them and seem underpowered. I keep trying to mess with the settings to get it better, but haven't been very successful. I did change the F/R fader to 1 setting closer to the rear and that helped a little bit. As others have said, the SAT radio quality isn't that great, so the FM will sound better. Haven't tried a CD yet, will do that tomorrow.
Hey....I asked you a question before about the clear bra but forgot to say "Congratulations" on getting your car.... I am so impressed by the great mileage and the quietness (not to mention that I can drive in the left lane (HOV) by myself now) that I didn't really do anything yet with the car as far as setup....haven't done the Bluetooth yet...haven't set up the garage door opener buttons...nothing except drive it and enjoy it.
Congratulations :) Look forward to seeing any mods you may do. Pictures are a must hehe

I wonder if your local dealer would be willing to run thru it with you (setting up the phone)? It's worth a shot.

Thanks man! What have you done to yours, if anything?
If your talking about setting up Bluetooth to your phone or music device, its was a really simple process /w Nav. Takes a few minutes as you sit in the vehicle in the driveway.

On the device you make sure Bluetooth is turned on, and then you follow the prompts on the nav, and then there should be a pass code you enter. Simple as that, then every time after your CT should recognize the device pending the Bluetooth is enabled :) If you have any further questions I can guide you through it, thats all of what I remember from doing it a month back
Congrats Jimmy!! Finally!! ;-)
Congrats!!! It's good to see these starting to be delivered.

So far just tint and clear-bra. First mod I was thinking was PIAA yellow fogs.
Thanks guys (and Gurls ;))!

I was on hold on the phone in a parking lot for quite some time, so I started playing with the "settings" option on the dash (non-nav) and figured out how to change the auto unlock feature to unlock all 4 doors...very happy about that (as are my kids)!

I picked them up from school yesterday in a thunderstorm and it was pouring out, I got in the car & then realized the car doesn't unlock their doors (had to do manually on the door), which was kind of a PITA, problem solved. There are many other customizable settings in there too that I want to read about in the manual, before messing up a setting I don't want to change. You can turn off the backlights on the dash for Sport and Eco mode too if you wanted too. It's also where you can tell it to keep the tachometer on all the time or not. Not sure if others without the NAV have seen this before?

Window tints go in next Saturday! :)

Cheers!

Jim
Yeah I have Nav so it was rather easy to find, but glad you found where to find the stuff. Give the manual a quick glance when you get the opportunity. Always finding cool stuff about the car, like when driving at night, and your in Normal mode I never noticed theres a blue tint in the car on center console that you can see on your arm. And when you turn to sport mode it turns red :p
Wow! I ordered mine the same day 4/13 and last week the dealer told me it would be another 4 to 6 weeks.

Sorry to hear that, what options did you pick? Hang in there! Hopefully your dealer is telling you 4-6 but it's likely less from what he was told. My dealer would always add 2-3 weeks to the timeline he was told (without me knowing this), just for a fluff factor, then when the car came in quicker than he told me?........:D :D :D
