Hello to Everyone. Greetings from Dallas, GA. The wife and I went out for lunch and lo and behold came home with a lovely, lighly used 2012 Matador Red CT with 7,500 miles. For a long time I had been thinking about a Skyactive Mazda 3 Hatchback, but the stylish look and the lure of about 10 mpg better with the Hybrid convinced me to take the leap.
About the wife and I: We're now retired at the pleasant age of 57. Plan on doing a lot of travelling, both overseas and across the US. In fact, although we've only owned the CT for three weeks now, we're headed out to South Florida in a few days to see what kind of highway mileage we can get with the cruise control at 65. Never been a person who rushes to get anywhere unless of course it was absolutely necessary.
Speaking of mileage, I drove about 320 miles around town (almost no highway) and with my first fill-up I averaged 49.8 mpg. Gave the attendant $30 to fill er up and was very pleasantly surprised when it only took $22.00 The Jeep Cherokee I had been driving was getting around 18 mpg around town driving I would guess about the same, so you all can tell how pleased I am with my CT at this point.
Well, that's my intro. I look forward to spending some more time on this forum and am sure I will have a few questions for everyone real soon.
