Stumbled across some after market headlights from china. I know a lot of them get a bad rap for seal issues, fault LEDs, etc. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these? They range from $500-$800 for a set. 2018+ rep and a triple beam version. What are your guys’ thoughts about this?

I've only just seen the triple beam version recently in the past couple of days on the facebook group. I don't think anyone has gotten them yet. I personally would be terrified to try them. The aftermarket "stock" lights might be okay, but probably don't have good output. The triple beam ones, who knows. Some aftermarket lighting companies (like Morimoto) are putting out incredible head lights. I don't think these are like those alas. Still though, it's cool to see aftermarket support for this car finally. Maybe someone will make some good tail lights next.
Yes finally we get more choices, I wish the CT’s had aftermarket support like the IS’s. I’m hoping someone is the Guinea pig and try’s one of these!

Someone in the CT FB group switched to the 3 light lens and from my understanding the light output is poor but I’m by no means an expert.

Do you by chance have a link to the thread/ FB group?

It’s in the group if you just scroll down. It is a private group so you have to answer the questions and get approved. It’s called Lexus CT200h USA but from what I can tell there are members outside the US. I just joined yesterday but here is the link https://m.facebook.com/groups/ct200hclubusa/?ref=share&mibextid=S66gvF

$500 is way too much for chinese headlights that are probably going to have crappy light output and crappy build quality. There's a reason why you never see output shots from whoever is making these lights... Think about it. The whole point of a new headlight should be for better lighting, yet no one ever posts pictures of the end result...lol. It's comical.
The triple beam knock offs look bad in my opinion. They don't look nice at all. At least the first one is a clone of the OEM lexus light so that doesn't look bad, but again no one ever posts an output shot of it so we don't know what the output looks like no how long people have been running on for.

Plus another thing no one talks about is the simple fact that when the led module dies on the chinese headlight you aren't replacing anything. You are buying a new headlight.

I've said this numerous times, but you can easily do a projector retrofit and have superior lighting using OEM components AT or below the cost of the generic Chinese headlights. You could even go Tobia's route with an LED projector (which is considered to be one of the best led projectors on the market). Simple to do and even less things to mess with in terms of a harness or other components that an HID setup would require...etc.

This is what I will be completing in June. RX350 bi-xenon projectors with clear lenses. OEM denso slim ballasts. This is after tweaking one single projector. This does not show the high beam either. When it comes to lighting you can either buy crappy stuff and probably end spending more money in the long run, use drop in LEDS which will also give you crappy output or do it the right way and enjoy the epic light that is projected properly.

Don't mind the glare above the cut off or sides. I am literally holding a bare projector in my hands with no shield or housing that would otherwise cover all of that.
