Welcome to the 600 Mile Club!

Taking an idea from PriusChat, I thought it would be fun to start the club. For those who have reached 600 miles on a tank of gas.

Since I haven't (my max was 552.2 miles) I cannot officially get this Club started, so who's going to post the first picture and tell us their story?

on 10.41 gal

Requirements:
A picture of your HSI display with the required number of miles
A description of your techniques (doesn't have to be exhaustive) and conditions
Time of year
How long you ran on the blinking low-fuel warning light
Wheel and tire setup

I think it is going to be difficult.. How much fuel did you put in after this 552 run? I did 525 when making a video on the fuel tank capacity/range for the CT. Had about a half gallon left based on 11.9 tank size. Maybe there could be more fuel in there.. say a full gallon..? So for me I could have gone another 45 miles until bone dry (maybe). That would put it at 570, but I wouldn't want to do that anyway.. Someone might be able to do this, say if coming down out of the mountains, where one might have a several hundred mile average down grade. Some people on here claim to get 50-60 mpg routinely, so for them this should be easy! ;)

For sure I know our cars can go 100mi past when cruising range is 0 in Southern California(roughly 60-80F daytime and 40-50F night time). I'll try this week if by the end of the cruising range I'm about 470-490, I think I can add another 130 to hit 600.

I was in seattle and my mpg took a bit hit, so colder climate might be more of a challenge.

Gas at costco and shell seems to work best for my mpg. Maybe a particular pump even.

Tires normal psi 34 all around nitrogen filled.

And my method has been pulse and glide, normal mode. Drive up to speed, normally 5mph past speed limit and glide 5mph below speed limit.

In the summer, I routinely achieve a mileage of 25km/ltr or better. That's almost 60 MPG US. If I keep my buttocks clenched very tightly, I should be able to reach 1.000 km (more than 600 miles) on a tank, with about 5 litres (about 1.3 Gallon US) of fuel left in the tank.

See you next summer.

He just said on 10.41 gallons
Ahh. I see it now to the right of the photo. He should have burned another gallon and could have made the 600. I've gone the other direction and am not looking at the MPG at all. Enjoying the CT much more the past few weeks. I'm in Bangkok right now, but tonight I walked past the Lexus dealer here to get a drink at the 7/11 about 9 pm. There were two CT's (blue and white) and 3 RX270's in the showroom. When I walked back just 10 minutes later the White CT was gone, no sign of anyone around the dealership, felt a little spooky... Of course the only time I thought I saw a real ghost was in Thailand too... Turned out I was having some sort of sleep paralysis hallucination.. Crazy place here.. :p

While I love a good challenge and this seems fun, I'm going to forgo this game since constantly drawing close to empty is not good for the fuel pump. I recommend playing here and there but not on a continous basis.
