2013 Front Strut is leaking

35K and the driver side Front Strut is leaking and Lexus said not covered under warranty. Is this a common issue? Never had anything suspension related go so quickly in any vehicle we ever owned. Is there anything other than OEM that can be used? Had to get part from Lexus. Not looking for any performance parts, just for normal driving.

Are you just in warranty still?
I'd be pursuing this direct with Lexus UK as the mileage is very low. Keep into them as its not really wear and tear.
Good luck.

I'm rather surprised Lexus won't cover it unless it was physically damaged or you had modified suspension. Did you give you a reason?

I just purchased a 2015 CPO and Lexus warranty was a big selling point for the sales dept.

Yes, we have 35K on it, warranty till 45K. I may call or write Lexus.

I did not give a reason or have modified the suspension, it was stock. We did buy the car used with about 22K miles on it though but that shouldn't matter.
Just an update....contacted Lexus dealership again after researching the warranty. They said the struts WOULD be covered. My mechanic talked directly with the dealership, giving VIN, etc. and apparently received incorrect information from the dealership. Based on this he ordered the Lexus parts and installed them. He ended up getting the other side too. I then contacted Lexis Customer Satisfaction with all the details. After some back and forth information exchange, including providing receipts, Lexus is going to cover the parts and labor for BOTH struts. They said a check should be coming in 2 weeks :).
