1 Year Wait In Cincinnati

I put down a deposit on a CT200h in mid-April and was told it would be a 2-3 month wait (Red w/ black nuluxe - no other options). When I emailed the dealer last week, I was told that it would be at least 12 months. Needless to say I was very upset that 1) it was going to be a year for delivery and 2) the dealer had never contacted me to let me know. I have cancelled my order and am looking for something else (Audi A3?). Is anyone else getting this same story now, or is it just my Cincinnati dealer??

I ordered mine in Columbus in march and they told me 4 to 6 weeks. After 8 weeks they told me 4 to 6 weeks longer. I was 6th on the order list and they have filled 1 so far. I call them every week but the dealer knows nothing!
Sounds to me like your dealer might be trying to get a premium over MSRP. Perhaps he's selling to whomever ponies up the most dough. 12 months is crazy talk. There's no way he has any visibility a year out.

Ask him to come clean and make it clear you will not put up with this BS. I gotta laugh everyone always say the "Lexus buying experience" is something special. Ha! A car salesman is a car salesman.
completely agree about the 'Lexus' buying experience. been waiting since day after tsunami, only communication was me calling them, with them stating the constant 'i don't know'.

'i don't know' is powerful, but can only be used once or twice before it loses power
