So I see they are telling everyone this will be a 1.8L hybrid. Any talks of them maybe makea little larger of a engine?

I think the 1.8 will be great, But this car is really sporty looking, a little more pep would be nice.

Here in the Netherlands Lexus stated it will have a CO2 output of 99 mg/km. For us thats important for tax reasons (14% instead of 25%). That means the petrol engine almost certainly will be the same as the Prius one (100 hp). But they also state it will have 2 litre performance (about 150 hp). The only possibility I see is a larger electric motor than the 80 hp one in the Prius.

It's a definite possibility, given that Lexus has registered the CT 300h and CT 400h model names...

CT 300h and CT 400h wouldn't be any bigger. It would be the CT 200h 5-door hatchback body with bigger engines.

You can readily improve on the existing 2ZE engine by installing less air restrictive sythentic fabric oil impregnated air element by K/N. Go to priusNation, they have done that with great success.

With sportier hybrids from BMW, Mercedes, and others, looking to be introduced within the next year or so, I seems a strong possibility that Lexus will come up with equally competitive models.
