So this weekend was about wrapping the hood. The biggest challenge was using the knife less tape to do my cuts. I practiced with some scrap wrap to get the hang of it. I still need a lot of practice but for my first attempt I can't complain. I wanted to wrap to follow the lines of the hood...
I had the unfortunate luck of getting 2 small chips on my hood when the car was 2 weeks new. I don't want to paint it, but looking for somebody who plans to wrap their car and trade or sell theirs. I will pay a few hundred dollars for the trade or purchase. Message me if your interested.
hi everyone i am new to the car and the forum.
i live in Canada and as all you know our winter is kind of rough i recently looked into purchasing the car bra for my ct, and after my research i found this
Lexus CT200h Hood Mask, Stone & Bug Deflector, Car Bra, Hood Protection, Auto...
I was puzzled why Lexus did not equipt MY 2012 CT200h sold in US market with hydraulic hood lifters. I have read threads here and elsewhere that there is a kit available for such mod.
After thinking I realized, perhaps the main reason why CT200h ain't got hood lifters is due to the fact that...
Hood Lift Dampers
(Please note correct mounting position for lower hinge and photos are in the third thread)
Here are pictures of Circuit Sports hood dampers that I installed on my CT.
(incorrect mounting picture removed)
Call this a crazy question, but how many CT owners here have opened the hood on the car (not related to a modification).
I've actually never seen my engine bay, even when test driving the car.
As a car guy, this is pretty strange for me.
We've had the car a couple of days now and can say we are very happy with the purchase.
For the price, the build quality and materials are pretty good.
Now for the minor whining:
(1) The hood support is a metal prop (are we in the 60's) - how much more would pneumatic pistons have been?
