What to watch for when paint film is installed?

I am having paint protection installed in a couple of days.Lexus installer is coming in from out of town to put it on. What do I need to watch for when it is done. Hate to see them do it wrong and try to slide it by.

Make sure there aren't too many seams and that the corners of the lower grille are stuck down properly. If they pop up, just make sure there is a way for them to fix it, particularly since they are coming from out of town. Otherwise it isn't brain surgery. No wrinkles, no unintended gaps. Mine had some lifting at the compound curve at the lower outside corner of the lower grille opening and they promised to "fix it" but I didn't want to wait because I was going out of town so I used a razor blade and trimmed it myself. Fine now.

I have no idea and I did nothing on any car that has had this done. With a Lexus warranty, I would assume they do whatever they need to do. As I understand it, they just clean it up so there is no contamination under the film

Had my paint protection done today. Instead of Lexus tech coming in from out of town to do job it was farmed out to a local tint shop. Looks terrible. Wrinkles and air bubbles are everywhere. Going to have to be redone. Oh well.

Personally, I doubt that very many "Lexus Tech's" have much experience in doing this type of work. Just keep insisting on having it done right. It isn't brain science or rocket surgery! They just have to be careful, so check it out very carefully, as you did.
