Hi, everyone. Just got my first Lexus, the CT200h. I drive 65 miles to work each day, so decided the hybrid made more sense than a regular Lexus that gets about 27 highway.
I test drove many vehicles this time, including the VW Jetta TDI, but after going to the Lexus dealer, any thoughts of buying anything other than a Lexus were out the window.
I have never had a more pleasant car buying experience and any of the Lexus models I test drove were far more comfortable than anything else I tested. At my age that makes a big difference.
I was really torn between the ES 350 and the CT200h, but in the end as I said the gas mileage differential made my decision for me.
Took me 35 years to get here, but I think it will be worth the wait - seems like a really fine car.
One question (and I will do a search here if nobody knows the answer off the top of their head) - how do you reset the average fuel economy number that shows up in the multi-information display?
I could not find anything in the owner's manual about this particular display other than some vague reference about it changing after you fill up the car (which I have not done yet -).
Does it just take whatever the current multi-information average value is (the one where the multi-information display just shows average mpg) at the time you fill up and use that so no reset is required?
I cleared all the other fuel data from the energy portion of the nav system, but that did not seem to affect it.
At any rate, I look forward to learning a lot about my new car here.
Bob
