    Gas Prices $$$$

Today I filled up and the price was $4.05 a gallon (Mobil). Glad I have the CT. What are your area prices.
We may get to $5.00 by summer....

3.49 here in mid Michigan. Thankfully we are not the west coast. And I find it awesome that the Gov has nixed the Keystone XL pipeline. I for one would rather purchase my oil from politically unstable countries for a higher price. </sarcasm >

No offence, but I'm an older person and I wonder it that's got something to do with it, but I WOULD prefer to pay more for petrol rather than continue the destruction of our seas and lands. We're destroying Planet Earth. America accounts for 4% of the world's population but consumes 25% of the world's oil. If you all bought a CT it might help. BTW, in Australia we pay about US$6.00 for an American gallon of petrol.

I don't understand what US drivers are complaining about. We pay the equivalent of US$ 8.25 per US gallon - and rising.

I emphatically agree that raping mother Earth for more oil is not the solution.

No offence taken. I would buy an electric car in a second if I could afford it and there was a reasonable supporting infrastructure in place to support it. What I meant is that with the Keystone pipeline comment is the oil that would flow in it would be cheaper and be mined/pumped in a more responsible fashion than purchasing oil from certain areas of the middle east or South America where accidents are more prone to happen. And thus, as you lamented that we are destroying mother earth.

Unfortunately trying to compare gas prices from country to country is not a good example, as in some cases the tax on gas the govenment charges goes to social programs such as health care, education, etc. The price per gallon on the product remains cloes to the same for everyone, it's the government adders that drive the price in different countries and in some cases it the State's taxes and fees in the US that drives it here.

That said, upstate NY it running about $3.85 a gallon. Can't wait till I finally move to AZ.

SoCal here. Yesterday on my way to school saw regular at 3.85. Thought to myself it was only $3.74 the other day! I should wait. By the time I was driving home regular had already risen to $3.95. I was like wtf!

Anyways I did hear about gas prices rising. Such a scam to fool people imo. Gas goes down a little everyone is all super happy and cheery. Telling my buying a hybrid is not a good idea because gas prices keep falling. Then gas prices come right back up and with a vengence too. I've never seen 5.00 here but Im betting it will happen very soon at the rate it is rising.

So they let gas fall for a little and then it rises A LOT. People are dumb to fall for it.

I was thinking... with 5% gas rebate on my credit card, @$4/gallon, I could get 2 MD apple pies for every 5 gallons fill up. But then I thought.. if I don't have to fill 5 gallons, I could buy 40 apple pies with $20.
