Former Prius Drivers, what's your fuel economy comparison?

I am thinking of changing my 2010 Prius for a CT200h but am a little concerned by the mileage drop. Would you former Prius drivers please post your Prius' average fuel economy and what you are getting now in the CT?

My Average over 4000 miles is 42 MPG. (in my CT200h)

I had a 2010 Prius V (the one with the 17 inch wheels) and at first I got about 5 mpg less in the CT200h, but I was willing to accept that since the luxury features and accessories of the Lexus (not to mention the dealer experience) were so much better. I now have about 4,000 miles on the odo now and it has crept back up to where the numbers are really very similar. I think comparing mpg figures from internet posters is ludicrous. Some are painfully honest, some are hard to believe, some are ridiculous. Comparing my prius figures with my CT200 figures, I am now at about 45-48 mpg, which is just about where I was with my prius. It got a lot better the last two tankfuls.

In short, you might lose a couple of mpg. IMO that is well worth it.

I also have the 2010 trim V with the 17-inch wheels. My lifetime average is around 52 mpg (calculated, not what the dash says) with normal driving. Recently I purchased a ScanGauge and started to learn how to improve my driving so that even in winter, I am averaging about 58 mpg. Last year I ordered the Prius Plug-In with the Advanced Package. The MSRP is about $40K. For the same amount, I can get a decently loaded CT. The reason I am even looking at the CT is that I am tired of the squeaks and rattles from my current car. So for me the final detail I am focussed on is the fuel economy. It seems that most people are getting around the 43 mpg but I am trying to find people that had a Prius and were getting decent mileage with their driving technique and applying that to the CT as well.

I am getting 44 right now (~1500k). But I live in the hills and i have an 800 foot hill to go over when I go downtown, and 1800 foot hill to climb over when I go to work. I would get in the 50s if I lived in flatter terrain. but you can't defy physics even when you get to roll all the way in one direction.

Had a 2010 Prius IV, was averaging about 48-50 mpg. Currently getting about 43-46mpg in the CT. If you don't need the extra space, the vast improvement in handling and interior quality of the CT is well worth the small handful of mpgs you give up.

I had a 2005 Prius. Bought it for the tax credit. Hated it. Got 52.3 over a 50K ownership experience. Toyota must have went out of their way to make the inside of that car ugly. Bought an 08 Solara and got 29.8 over 98K miles period. Got afraid of gas prices and went to look at another Prius. Toyota is still paying the same guy to make an ugly interior. As I was leaving the dealership I saw CT200 over in the corner of the Lexus side of showroom. Fell in love. My first tank of gas was 45.9 and the second is currently showing 49.6. Admittedly I am babying the gas pedal just to see what it will do but I am very happy so far........and get to look at a pretty car. ( My golf buddy said my Prius looked like someone had a bodily function in the road and painted it red. ) Unfortunately it was hard to argue that logic.

I have a 06 Prius, right now my wife is driving it and getting 40-41 or so in mostly town driving. When I drove it mostly highway, I was geting 44-45 mpgs. The lifetime average on the CT is 43.6, using the car computer for mixed highway and city (50/50). I was amazed the other day on the freeway, and seeing 49 mpg for the tank. I expected to lose a few mpgs from the Prius with the CT, but I'm pleasanlty surprised. Like the man says, "Your mileage may vary."
I have less than 5K miles on the CT, so it may still improve a little. The Prius has almost 110K mostly trouble free miles.

I owned the great 2006 and the rattling, squeeezing 2010 Prius. Got 50 mpg and 53 in summer with them, winter 45 with both.
Own the CT since november and had 42 mpg in the cold weather (-10 to -5 *C) and am reaching now (5 to 10 *C outside) 48 mpg. So I am very confident to reach the 50 in summer again...

One thing in addition: The bord computers of the 2006 Prius and the Lexus CT200h show the exact mpg, while the bc of the 2010 Prius used to cheat!
