Did anybody did jump start on CT 200h? One of my friends got Prius and tough time finding (not a car guy) battery hooks (even though car got two types batteries
) for jump start from other vehicle. CT200h got same engine and might help.

Battery in trunk.

The 12 volt battery is in the trunk as Matt said.
The correct procedure for jump starting a CT is in the manual pages 635-637.

There is a power terminal in the front right of the engine compartment that has a wire that runs to the trunk, where both traction and 12v batteries are located. This terminal is directly connected to your 12v battery. And you can use this to jumpstart the car without having to go into the trunk and remove a bunch of panels. This system is very similar to several BMWs I have had in the past where the battery was moved to the trunk to allow for more room in the engine compartment and for more balanced weight distribution.

Most of the jumper cables have both positive and negative lines bound together. From the picture in the manual, the two connections are quite away from each other. This mean we may have to split the two lines of the jumper cable apart to connect to the CT +/- posts under the hood.

Well, technically, you would connect the negative clamp to any metallic area on the CT body; there isn't a passthrough negative terminal like there is for the positive terminal in the engine compartment. There are plenty of areas close to the positive terminal that you can connect the negative clamp to. You don't necessarily have to connect the negative clamp to the base of the engine as pictured.

Thanks for the info. Let's hope that nobody has had to jump start one of these yet... that wouldn't be very good.

Good answer, Matt.
Just not everyone would know that. The tech writer should have thought of these details when s/he wrote the instruction. Two separate jumper lines in the picture are just not right
