5,000-mile service yet, anyone?

I have done it, the two hardest parts were getting the cover off, I needed to use a jewlers flathead screw driver to remove the plastic snap in plugs. The other hard part was removing the oil filter canister, I ended up buying a special oil filter removal designed specifically for toyotas to remove it. Everything else wasnthemsame as any other car. I did this at 5000 miles and the oil didn't seem to really need to be changed and I didn't notice any metal filings from the naked eye.

FYI to anyone that is going to get their oil changed soon in the CT: A 5 qt jug of a top rated, full-synthetic motor oil will only cost you $20-25 depending on brand at Wal-Mart. For the filter search your local autozone, oreilly, advance auto parts for the correct oil filter (mobil 1 or bosch) that is on sale and buy a few for the future (you can usually get a mobil 1 filter for $10 during sales), bring both to a dealership and you should only be charged labor/disposal, not the ridiculous $120.
