    Auto head light off -

Non Satellite version SE-L UK speck.
I have set the auto head light off to 30 second delay using the DSP button and setting. The headlight stalk is in auto. But the headlights turn off immediately the power button is switched off and I leave the car. So where is the 30 second delay on the headlights? Have I set it wrong? Also noticed the interior lights went out as soon as the door is closed, I have this set to 15 second delay.

Also in this mode are the headlights supposed to switch on automatically in low light when you approach the car and unlock it? My previous Volvo and Passat had this and it was really useful when approaching the car in the train car p ark at night. The lights stayed on for 15 seconds until you got in the car and hit the ignition switch.
Another worry, I find the headlights really dull and the projection ark pretty tight especially close to the car. The arc seems to be about 45 degrees from the middle of the headlight which leaves the front side’s very dark, keep driving into my neighbours recycling bins when I turn into my drive! I have to put the fog lights on now when I approach home to avoid hitting things (kids bikes, balls and other debris in the drive) Pity Lexus does not allow the associated fog lamp to come on when the steering is turned or indicator comes on like German cars do.
So what can I do to improve headlight brightness in dip mode without going down the HID route?

    Cheers Tim

Hmmm 30 seconds headlight and 15 second interior light are the factory default setting. You shouldn't have to set them if those are the ones you wanted. I actually changed my default headlight to OFF so as soon as I open the door, they turn off. When they were at 30 sec, I always have to stop and look back and wait until they are off before walking away. I am just worry that they don't turn off and drained the battery when I got back.

As for the 15 sec, as soon as I approach the car, the inside light were on even before I touch the handle. Something is off with your settings. You probably want to check them again. Maybe just reset them to factory default.

For non-nav you can adjust the settings of the headlight timer through Settings on screen beside speedometer using the steering wheel. Here is a link to the settings that can be changed. For vehicles with Nav this can be changed through Nav screen.

Thanks for the link darrider, interesting to see that no 9 Headlight off time adjustment does not appear on my screen. After investigating the operation manual it states the the Exterior Lights off Time adjustment can only be set to 7.5 seconds by the display button, the other times are dealer only. I have managed to get the interior light and the footwell lights to come on when I hit the unlock on the fob, but can't get the headlights or day light lights to come on.
Also tried setting the Exterior to 7.5 seconds off time but still the headlights go off straight away. I wonder what the difference is between Headlight Off Time Adjustment and the Exterior Lights off Adjustment is, seem to me they are the same thing.

Will print the sheet of and take it to my dealer and get them to set the off times.

Still not impressed with the dip beam headlights, might try some Osram high power bulbs as a replacement.
    Cheers

Can you get aftermarket LED bulbs? My Premier has these and I've never driven a car with headlights as good.
