Satellite radio is dead

After owning the car for roughly 6 weeks, the satellite radio died this morning. It just keeps on going into 'Loading' status whenever I select a channel number. Even channel 001 is completely dead. Called XM and also tried thru the XM website to send an activation signal but it didn't do crap.

Brought it to the dealer this afternoon for them to check what's wrong with it.

After two days, I got the car back. They had to replace the entire radio unit.

Sorry to hear that. Glad it has been replaced. Lexus warranty is very good.

When it is an audio problem replacing the entire unit is quicker (cheeper) then trying to find the problem...

It's called swaptronics. Pull it out, replace it and send it on.

Well, at the end of day one, the dealer told me they traced all the wirings from antenna to the radio unit. And they told me that they were conferring with Lexus Corporate on next steps. So, that same night, I called Lexus and told them if they can push the dealer to just swap out the radio. Lo and behold, by noon on the 2nd day, the dealer calls me and the car was fixed. Also got a follow-up call from Lexus tonight asking me if everything has been done to my satisfaction. That's what I call great service!

You must have run into the only car dealer left in the world that actually does anything besides call a radio shop to replace the radios that come in with a problem. Most dealers don't even remove the radios, they call for the van from the radio shop.
