Finally got time to start the installation of my new audio system. Still got a long way to go before everything is done but I do have 1 comment to make. After I removed the stock premium speakers, I only have 1 thing to say, they are a total rip off. Those premium speakers are in no way "Premium" Very cheap quality and poorly made. Cant believe Lexus charged us $1,100 upgrade for speakers with that kind of quality. I was originally thinking of putting these "Premium" speakers on my old car so that I dont waste my money. Iam definitely not going to do that anymore. I just have to accept the fact that money is already wasted. Anyway it also makes me wonder how poor the quality are on the standard speakers.

I was able to modify the stock enclosure slightly to fit an 8" sub perfectly. Just thought I share this for people out there that are thinking of upgrading the stock 6" sub but are worried you wont be able to keep the stock look. It is totally doable and actually not that difficult as well. It took me about an hour work to modify the stock enclosure for this. I did however originally planned on installing the JL 8" W7 woofer but realized that wont fit because of the depth. As a result, I downgraded to the JL W3 which fits perfectly like I said. I would say the majority of the 8" subs on the market could be easily modified to fit the stock enclosure. Just dont get the woofers that have oversized magnets like the W7.
