Fox Marketing CT with Eaton Supercharger

Today at the New York Auto Show Lexus revealed the Fox Marketing CT complete with Eaton supercharger. They are even claiming 300 hp. Just imagine the feel of this car if it had that power. To me, that would be worth a drop of a few MPG, especially coming from an SUV with an EPA of 14 city.

What does everyone think of a supercharger in this car. It's obviously possible!

Is anybody thinking about adding a supercharger? Maybe not to get 300 hp, but just imagine an increase of 50 hp and how much the feeling of this car would change.

when i was reading up on their facebook site i was wondering about their 300 horsepower claim. i find it really hard to believe that they're producing that amount of horsepower on stock internals and ecu/tune.

did they provide any further info regarding their supercharger build on the car?

I'd suggest finding out what the Prius folks have done in terms of performance. Its the same engine, so they probably have a good idea of what can/can't be done.

Although, I wouldn't considering throwing one on a brand new CT... Maybe in a couple years when its out of warranty.

And it won't be legal in several states too.

Only info I can find on changes to the engine:

    Eaton supercharger
    Climax Racing intake manifold
    Yonaka air to water intercooler
    Boosted factory battery power

I don't know if those 4 changes could supply that much horsepower. It's a huge change that would make this car a whole lot of fun to drive. I love it already but I can just imagine it flying down the road haha

Hmm, it does have an intercooler... And I'm curious if thats a custom manifold or if its off-the-shelf.

i appreciate their enthusiasm for the ct200h, but i'm still not convinced it's anywhere near 300hp unless i see some dyno charts. they're a marketing firm, what more needs to be said?

Hell, skip the supercharger and tell us how to juice the batteries. It's not like we're doing mile long full throttle beatings where we need the power for minutes. Most people use it to go zero to sixty, passing someone, or just some spirited sprints here or there.

Odds are the blower adds about 20-30% gasoline power, and the rest is electric. I'll just take the electric part and keep the warranty

Amen to just adding electric power! A supercharger would be nice but I think the car would be much better with more power being run through the electric motors.
