The acceleration is only 1 sec slower than my current car (Seat Leon FR), but the 180 km/h top speed, (and that is wilt support of the electric engine.?)... outch. Wel we have to learn to live with that :-)

Not sure about the electric motor output stated, unless it is either the "averaged" number or with the 500v std. instead of the 650v as Lexus states it has 80hp output...
I wonder if one is rated maximum power verses avg. output?

This thread is dead old, so the info came from the pre-released time
You can find all accurate numbers directly from lexus these days.

Electric motor maximum output according to owners manual:
    60kw (about 80hp)
    153ft lbf (207Nm)
    Owners manual: https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...html&locale=en

EDIT: And to bring the topspeed back to topic... its only electrical limited since its law on it in japan, usually they remove it for export but I guess that they thought that this car isnt a car that will be driven in those speeds since its not directly a optimal tunable car.

^ most likely they limited the top speed because of the tire rating based on the tires they come with from the factory. it is a safety issue.
